An Alberta public health specialist, Dr. Ngozika C. Mbonu provides patient-centered primary care for conditions such as obesity, hypertension, and diabetes mellitus. Focused on women’s health, she strives to educate those she treats in strategies of healthy living and preventing injury. Dr. Ngozika Mbonu has studied the HIV/AIDS epidemic in-depth and emphasizes practical pathways of HIV/AIDS prevention and management. She works to compassionately address the stigma that may of those with the disease face.
Dr. Chinwe Mbonu practices at the Kingsridge Medical Clinic in St. Albert, meeting the needs of patients of all ages. She also manages urgent care cases in Leduc at Cure MD Medical Clinic. The child mental health consultation services she provides are through the Albert Primary Care Network’s Can Reach clinic. Dr Chinwe Mbonu is active with the Alberta Medical Association and the American Academy of Family Physicians, and is a Royal Society of Public Health fellow.
Ngozi C. Mbonu’s academic background includes master’s and PhD degrees completed in Public Health at Maastricht University in the Netherlands. Also holding a doctor of medicine, she undertook her family medicine residency at the University of Alberta.
